BIRD WATCHING IN ECUADOR

Ecuador is a paradise for birdwatchers since it counts more than 10% of the worldwide species and which are mainly in Amazonia, in tropical and cloud forests, on the famous Galapagos Islands. On the Pacific Coast hundreds of endemics such as the toucans, condors, albatrosses, blue and red-footed boobies, red masked fools, cocks of the rock… Ecuador is also par excellence “The Earth for the Birds” This small country shelters around 1600 bird species (excluding the numerous other species which man has identified), more than in other large countries such as North America and Brasil among others.

From the Paramo (= Equatorial altiplano up to 3000 m and +) around the lake and the  Papallacta hot springs to the  inter Andeans  tropical and cloud forest : Mindo, Santo Domingo crossing by,  Mindo, Palenque, Blanco, Toachi.. rivers

• AMAZON 5 DAYS: Exploration on foot and on a canoe, crossing the Amazonian rainforest of the protected  Yasuni park, which shelters more than 500 species of deer and tropical birds. Its various rivers such as:  Napo river, tributary to the Amazon and Yuturi Rivers …the Manduro, Paraguaco, Sapococha lakes are the favorite spots of various marine birds.
