The Government of Ecuador has prohibited all foreigners and Ecuadorians from arriving via air, land, or sea. As of March 17. Ecuador has also prohibited domestic passenger flights and restricted entry to the Galapagos Islands. At this time, we understand these restrictions are scheduled to be in place until April 5.
The Government of Ecuador has restricted movement throughout the country with very limited exceptions and imposed a curfew from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (changing to 2 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, March 25). Local jurisdictions have enacted additional restrictions, the curfew in Guayas and Santa Elena province as well as in the Galapagos Islands, is from 4 p.m. to 5 a.m. These restrictions can change at any time. U.S. citizens should comply with all local laws and monitor local news for any updates.
