Arrived at Coca city, transfer to harbor Napo River and transfer by motorized canoes to the flotel for your amazon cruise. Following the trip aboard the ship which offers a spectacular sight of the fauna and flora of the region. In the evening, walking and discovering biodiversity in the dark and hearing the unstoppable noises of nature.
Navigation to the Pañayacu River Delta, and canoe trip to discover this fascinating water reserve: Lake Pañacocha, ecosystem flooded by black water. Pañacocha means Piranha Lake. It is the ideal habitat for piranhas, monkey-fish (Arowana) and white cayman. In this little corner of paradise, walks in nature and relaxation in a campsite located nearby, will have the opportunity to savor a delicious barbecue. After lunch, canoe session and refreshing swim in Piranha Lake! This is not as dangerous than they look. Back aboard the flotel: conference and educational documentary about the region.
Embarcation by canoe to observe one of the most incredible sites of the Western Amazon: the Parrot Clay Licks. This unique, mineral-rich spot attracts hundreds of colorful parrots, parakeets and Amazonian birds every day. Visit of a Kichwa Cultural Center, where you will be immersed in their ancestral cultures, traditions, and cooking. Local community members will explain the lifestyles of Aboriginal people along the Napo River. Before sunset, beautiful sight from an observation tower that offers a stunning 360-degree view of the Amazon basin. Bird lovers will particularly appreciate this output.

Early in the morning, we will start discovering the well-known Yasuni National Park, Biosphere of the Planet, home of the legendary Pink River Dolphin… walking in its primary forest, possible observation of anacondas, various monkeys, as well as the colorful Hoatzin, a unique bird known locally as the “Stinky Turkey”. Lunch aboard the flotel. During the afternoon: pirogue ride in a black water lake, habitat of giant otters, the magnificent manatee, river turtles etc… Then pleasant hike in the Riparian Forest and possibly spot a flock of birds, a colony of leaf-cutter ants and other inhabitants by the giant Fig and Kapok trees, truly refuges of wildlife abundance.
Visit to a Kichwa family home on Napo river banks. During the slow navigation upstream on board the flotel, lunch, leisure time to enjoy the Amazon landscape, nature and participation in a cooking class with our chef, who will share recipes of exquisite traditional Ecuadorian meals.
