This Amazon trip is a unique and unforgettable experience, which will allow you to discover the heart and mega biodiversity of the Amazon’s forest. The Misahualli Forest is a secondary Amazonian forest located near the small Misahualli port and the city of Tena, capital of Napo province. This region is irrigated by the Napo River, a tributary of the Amazon River and Jatun Yacu (ideal for rafting). This region is recommended for travelers who are discovering the Amazon for the first time.
Private transportation from Quito to the Amazon, Tena and Misahualli region. Arrival at the beginning of the afternoon (lunch not included at U$ 25) at the edge of the Arajuno river, then transfer by motorized canoe to Eco-lodge. Appreciation of the magic and beauty of the forest along a zigzag river that flows like a giant snake considered the venous system of the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth). Arrive at the Eco-lodge and welcome by your guide, welcome drink, a snack. Briefing on the activities you will do. Night walk (optional) to hear the sounds of the night and look for bats, owls, tarantulas, frogs and snakes. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.
Very early morning to observe parrots and parakeets on a clay wall where they gather to obtain the necessary minerals. It is essential to have binoculars. Then return to the lodge for breakfast. Then hike through the primary and secondary rainforest. Your guide will tell you about the ecosystem, flora and fauna of the forest. You will observe various insects, if possible birds and monkeys. Back to the lodge for lunch and free time. Afternoon, Cultural Activity. Visit of a Kichwa community, where you will learn more about their way of life. Part of the visit involves the demonstration of the famous “Chicha“, a fermented cassava drink. You will participate in the preparation of this drink and the local cuisine and tasting. You will end the visit with a traditional dance performed by the children. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.
Last breakfast in the Amazon then transfers by motorized canoe to the Arajuno bridge. Return from Tena to Quito with optional private transportation.

Breakfast and transfer by canoe to Anaconda Island. You will see the prehistoric bird “Hoatzin“, the woolly monkeys, the squirrel monkeys, … You also visit a family of indigenous people to learn their farming habits, …, a picnic will be provided. After lunch, you will go to Amazoonico, home to a number of animals, some in danger of extinction. Amazoonico is a rescue center for animals from the Amazon in Ecuador. Back to the Eco-lodge and free time. Dinner and overnight.
