Depart from Quito or Guayaquil, from your hotel by private or shared car with a Spanish-speaking driver, to the Pacific coast through the tropical region of Santo Domingo (if you are leaving Quito). Arrival in the coastal province of Manabí, on the beach of Canoa. Local lunch and possible first swim in the Pacific Ocean. Then we will continue along the famous Ecuadorian “Pacific Highway” to the Machalilla National Park. Visit the coastal city of Puerto López. Dinner and accommodation in a first class beachfront hotel with pool (to be confirmed).

In the morning (June to September), travel by boat to search for and observe humpback whales during their breeding season. And in the afternoon, after lunch in a typical restaurant, visit and swim in the beautiful Los Frailes beach or visit the Aguas Blancas community, an archaeological site and therapeutic mud baths. During the other months, excursion in the Pacoche reserve to observe different species of monkeys and possible visit of the city of Manta Beach and its port; with typical lunch from the coast. Back to Puerto López. Accommodation in the same hotel (or on request in Manta).

Day trip to the “Isla de Plata” or “Isla de la Plata” by boat, walking and diving with a local guide. Lunch Back to Puerto López. Then dinner and a quiet night, or a short transfer to the famous coastal town of Montañita, surfers and young favorites. Dinner and accommodation in a standard class hotel near the beach or in the village. Depending on the day, walking at night in the city is very lively and recommended.

Last breakfast in front of the Pacific Ocean and last free time to enjoy the beach, watch the surfers in action. Then drive down the “Ruta del Sol” and possibly the last stop on the Pacific coast in the coastal city of Salinas. Last seafood lunch. Short car trip to the coastal city and the largest port in Ecuador: Guayaquil (or upon request, transfer / flight to Quito). If possible, panoramic tour of Guayaquil. Transfer to the hotel or airport.
